A free vision assessment for your three-year-old
Conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (turned eye), require care before age 5 to avoid permanent loss of vision. Good vision is critical to learning, because more than 80% of learning is done visually. Yet studies indicate that more than 20% of kindergarten children have vision problems, and this number climbs to between 30% and 40% by the time these children reach high school graduation.

Our OPD-Scan offers state-of-the-art quality of vision assessment by analyzing thousands of data points to plot corneal contour, shape and refractive power. With a variety of data maps the OPD-Scan provides information on refractive errors, wavefront, corneal shape, internal aberrations and overall visual quality of the eye, generating exceedingly accurate and reliable information for optical diagnostics.

Optometrists regularly check your eyes in the exam room with a slit lamp. It is a microscope with a light attached that allows the doctor to examine your eye under high magnification. With a slit lamp, the anterior structures of the eye can be
seen such as the cornea, anterior chamber, iris, and crystalline lens.
Our digital retinal camera makes it possible to document the structures of the
eye to improve diagnosis and monitor for change. Digital images can be
shared with specialists if necessary to streamline communication.
