Dr Klopfenstein is a native of Manhattan, Kansas. She attended Manhattan High School and Kansas State University, and received her professional degree from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1990.
Dr Klopfenstein is an active member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the American Diabetes Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity, and she attained Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. In 2005 Governor Sebelius appointed her to the Kansas Board of Examiners in Optometry and subsequently Dr K was voted to the position of Secretary of the Board by her peers.
Dr Klopfenstein began her private practice in 1992 and enjoys providing a wide scope of primary eye care.
